Job Context
    Plan, direct, and coordinate HR functions to facilitate the most effective use of people for the achievement of organizational goals.
Job Responsibilities
  • 1. Strategic Management Project:
  • To work as part of the project management team, led by the consultant, and act as the facilitator for MEL for successful implementation of the project.
  • Ensure embedding of HR policies, procedures, and systems, developed in the project, in corporate culture through sustained practice.
  • Be responsible for continuous communication of organisation's mission, vision, values, and guiding principles to the employees as part of culture management.
  • Be responsible for periodic review of both HR and corporate strategy of MEL to take into account business realities and competitive environment.
  • 2. HR Policies & Procedures.
  • Ensure monitoring and implementation of HR policy, strategy, and procedures.
  • Be responsible for review and updating of the strategy and policies.
  • Ensure that all organisational activities that affect its people are regulated through policies and SOPs.
  • 3. Strategic Human Resource Planning (SHRP).
  • Ensure that the staffing function as part of human resource planning (HRP) of MEL is thoroughly strategy driven.
  • Ensure effective succession management in the line of HR strategy of MEL.
  • 4. Compensation & Benefits (C&B).
  • Ensure implementation of C&B policy of MEL to make it a source of employee motivation and job satisfaction.
  • Be responsible for maintaining the compensation & benefits structure of MEL competitive in the market.
  • Ensure carrying out of compensation survey once in a year.
  • Develop and implement reward and recognition program.
  • 5. Performance Management System (PMS).
  • Ensure effective functioning of the PMS.
  • Be responsible for regular communication of PMS to all employees
  • Ensure review of PMS on yearly basis.
  • Ensure that pay, promotion, and reward at MEL are directly tied to the PMS and the culture of pay-for-performance is maintained.
  • 6. Training & Development (T&D).
  • Ensure effective management of employee career development program.
  • Be responsible for carrying out T&D functions as per TNA (Training Needs Assessment) and EDP (Employee Development Program).
  • Be responsible for aligning T&D function with corporate strategy.
  • Ensure cost-effective execution of T&D activities.
  • Ensure that the T&D initiatives are perceived by the employees as one of the major source of job satisfaction, motivation, and career development.
  • 7. Job Analysis (JA).
  • Ensure that JA is carried out following JCM (Job Characteristics Model) once in a year and the JD and job specification (JS) of all employees are kept updated.
  • Be responsible for ensuring that the personal scorecard (PSC) / KPI of all employees are aligned with the strategy and kept updated all the time.
  • 8. Human Resource Information System (HRIS).
  • Ensure installation and effective use of HRIS at MEL.
  • Be responsible for keeping the HRIS database updated all the time.
  • 9. Employee Relations.
  • Be responsible for designing, implementing, and utilising the pulse survey (job satisfaction survey).
  • Be responsible for carrying out employee motivational and grievance handling functions as per policy.
  • Ensure proper administration of disciplinary procedures following progressive and positive approach in line with employee discipline policy.
  • 10. Establishing HR as Business Partner.
  • Ensure effective use of ROI (return on investment) on all HR initiatives undertaken in MEL.
  • Plan, coordinate, and implement effective CSR programs.
  • Be responsible for leading OD (Organisation Development) initiatives to manage system-wide changes in MEL, aimed at changing the attitudes and values of employees according to new strategic directions.
  • Plan, coordinate, and implement employer-branding initiatives for MEL.

Educational Requirements
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Human Resource Management, Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Human Resource Management
  • MBA HR, PG in an HR program, a program in IR Labour Laws will be an additional qualification
  • Skills Required: Performance Appraisal,Compensation & Benefits,Compliance,HRIS,Job Analysis & Manpower Planning,Labor Law
Experience Requirements
  • At least 10 year(s)
  • The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):
    General HR, Recruitment & Selection, Compensation/ Benefits/ Attendance/ Leave Management, Factory HR Administration, Training & Development, Legal Compliance/ Code of Conduct, Organization Development/ Process Improvement, HRIS/ HR Database Management, Performance & Career Management
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
    Group of Companies
Additional Requirements
  • Age 35 to 45 years
  • Both males and females are allowed to apply
  • Strong knowledge on Labour Law, 2006 & Labour Rules, 2015.
  • Communication skill in Bengali e and English.
  • Good interpersonal & communication skills.
  • Practical experience/ knowledge of working with MS Excel.
  • Good typing speed in Bengali and English.
  • Good team player, well-organized, initiative and detail-oriented
