  • Suchana: Suchana- ending the cycle of malnutrition in Bangladesh, is a multi-sectoral nutrition programme aims to achieve significant reduction in stunting amongst children under two years of age in Bangladesh. The programme adopts an integrated graduation model to nutrition specific and nutrition sensitive interventions to prevent chronic malnutrition within the critical 1,000 days from conception to until a child reaches its second birthday. Suchana consortium includes: technical partners – Save the Children (SC), Hellen Keller International (HKI), WorldFish, International Development Enterprises (iDE); implementing partners – Centre for Natural Resources Studies (CNRS), Friends in Village Development in Bangladesh (FIVDB), Rangpur Dinajpur Rural Service (RDRS); and research partner – icddr,b.
  • Job Statement: The AFO position will be responsible for operational support as well as responsible for performing Financial and Administrative activities relevant to achieve the outcomes as stated in the Suchana result framework. He is responsible to keep and maintain all books and records related to financial transaction and administrative procedure. He will be accountable to ensure that the office is complying with the following CNRS’s policies and procedures
  • Human Resource and Administration Manual
  • Financial Administration Manual
  • Procurement procedure and Policy Manual
  • Field Office Operational Manual
  • Others day to day relevant office order.
  • Job Location: Any Union/Upazila of Habigonj District.

Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain Upazilla level accounts
  • Prepare all sorts of Vouchers of all transactions with proper supporting documents
  • Perform and maintain banking related issues including Bank Reconciliation Report
  • Maintain General ledger, Cash & Check book, Advance register, and Petty Cash
  • Check and make payment Travel Expenses Reports, Conveyance bill etc.
  • Arrangement of different logistics support services such as stationeries, photocopying, vehicle, refreshments, office cleaning, etc.
  • Affix Revenue Stamp; Deduct Income taxes at source as applicable, and deposit to Govt. treasury
  • Prepare monthly Financial report with necessary supporting and timely submission
  • Assist Annual external audit, reviews as well as internal monitoring
  • Maintain Fixed asset registers, stock register, ensure affix ID numbers, and keep track of items
  • Filling and preservation of financial vouchers, HR related files in a confidential manner
  • Prepare monthly salary sheet of all Upazilla and Union level staff and ensure timely bank transfer
  • Ensure and arrange timely disbursement of fund through cheques/cash/mobile banking
  • Attend training/orientation as and when asked by the Suchana programme/IP management.
  • Any other activities as assign

Employment Status

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in relevant field (can be relaxed in case of experienced person)

Experience Requirements

  • At least 2 year(s)

Additional Requirements

  • At least two-year experience in accounts/finance of relevant development-based activities.
  • Having non-discriminatory and gender-sensitive perception along with safeguarding
  • To protect children in connection
  • Efficient computer literacy (especially MS Office applications)
  • Strong ability to work with the team
  • Strong ability in problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Skill in documentation, facilitation & reporting.
  • Good communication, facilitation and motivational skills.
  • Understanding on local culture and languages is preferable.
  • Abilities to undertake extensive travel to village/community level.
  • Ability to work under pressure and under a multi-sectoral / multi-disciplined team approach
  • Willingness and ability to drive a motorcycle in the field as and when required and should have a valid driving license
