Responsibilities & Context
S/He is responsible to achieve the assigned category business objective target through proper implementation of set up strategy and action plan to continual analysis and evaluating the effectiveness of availability, space management, products forecasting & promotional activities as per company process.
Operational/ Functional/ Business:
- Assist the Category manager in planning and implementing overall Strategic Plan.·
- Achieve departmental Annual Business Plan (ABP) with assigned category analysis and actionable strategies.·
- Ensure right product assortment through increasing margins & profitable pricing strategy, targeted category range with comprehensive clustering, space planning and stock management capabilities.·
- Executing with supplier to forecast demand or create supply plans that ensure availability of smooth material management through stock/order analysis, availability trend analysis, demand base products selection to fulfil objectives·
- Analyze inventories to determine how to increase inventory turns, reduce waste, or optimize customer service.·
- Analyze information about vendor and evaluate vendor performance. ·
- Close monitoring item to item in-depth sales and profit analysis, ensuring proper display and merchandising as per layout plan to enhance category visibility that meet customer needs with fulfilling financial objectives·
- Negotiate with stakeholders to increase margins through more profitable pricing strategy & volume target to execute precision merchandising with comprehensive clustering, space planning and assortment management capabilities.·
- To implement Commercial activities as per SAP MM module functionalities as per business objectives and carry out essential SAP system related tasks.
- MCH (Merchandise Category Hierarchy) creation, change & deletion.
- Article Master: Ensure accurate information for article creation/change, auto replenishment parameter, EAN issues.
- Vendor Master: Ensure accurate information of article specific info record, multiple info record and site wise record & pricing.
- Ensure products availability in day to day activities with proper demand planning through SAP system to run smooth replenishment (Push & Pull Driven) and coordination with internal & external stakeholder.·
- Conducting regular market survey to evaluate market intelligence of products availability, pricing, product range information, consumer behaviour, share competition for category review and take necessary strategies are in place to assess the development needs of the business at all levels in context of regular operation and expansion.·
- Drive more effective promotions for increased sales and profits with combine advanced demand forecasting and optimization with comprehensive price and promotion execution to meet financial goals.·
- Assist category manager in the development of strategic plan through sharing various types of required business analysis and relevant information in accordance with strategic goals and corporation.·
- Develop departmental Plano gram process for proper store layout, space management of products display & merchandising.·
- Implement, adhere and monitor the effectiveness of QMS processes and procedures.
- Leadership:·
- Supervise Team Members consistently by setting clear objectives and coaching to prepare them to be successors for key roles.
- Relationship:·
- Develop vendor strength, for capacity building, future business process & volumes.
Context:
The job holder works closely with the Category Manager to evaluate & improve category management processes & systems on a continual basis and also motivates & coaches team to achieve desired business targets.
