Job Context

    The project is focused to promote empowerment of persons with disabilities 9 project locations through the partner organizations. The position will require to closely work with collectives of persons with disability to ensure their engagement in the viable livelihood activities. The project starts from July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2021 funded by CBM Australia

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct feasibility studies, design and coordinate market assessments
  • Identify Livelihood opportunities and provide technical support in the design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the livelihood activities.
  • Provide technical direction, leadership and training to the livelihoods beneficiaries on business planning, income generation, village savings and loans, revolving funds, vocational skills training and strengthening of small scale businesses for the beneficiaries to enhance their self-reliance
  • Working with multiple stakeholders, including private sector, development agencies, government authorities, NGOs and social enterprises
  • Engagement relevant to livelihood e.g. microfinance, employment, entrepreneurship, local economic development, micro-finance, poverty reduction, agriculture, livestock, vocational and technical education and training, etc. .
  • Participating in proposals development and budgeting for new projects in accordance with the provided guidelines and standards
  • Ensure timely and quality progress reporting and prepare the analytical report
  • Provide inputs and feedback to reporting;
  • Ensure systematic documentation and filing;
  • Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Project manager

Educational Requirements

  • University degree in Development Studies, Economy or Socio-Economic Development, Business Administration, or another related field
  • Skills Required: LIvelihoods

  • 3 to 5 year(s)

Additional Requirements

  • Age 28 to 40 years
  • Both males and females are allowed to apply
  • Excellent command of the most common methodologies to identify, assess and monitor livelihood activities,
  • Assesses project performance to identify success factors and incorporates best practices into project work;
  • Experience to work with person with disabilities will be an added advantage.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analysis skills (qualitative and qualitative)
  • Strong cultural awareness and sensitivity
  • Flexible and creative
  • Excellent computer skills including navigating email, internet and MS Office software including PowerPoint and Excel.

    Tk. 42000 - 46000 (Monthly)
